Maddy Strickland-Chambliss
Hi, I’m Maddy — the heart behind Mad Land Photography.
Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. I’m married to my best friend, Corey, and together we have a beautiful daughter, Charlotte. In the summer of 2022, Corey and I eloped to Ireland, an unforgettable adventure that deepened my love for storytelling through photography.
Before making photography my main career, I spent six years as an autism teacher + earned my master’s in special education education — a chapter that shaped how I connect with people, anticipate needs, + lead with care <3
A few things I love: red wine, fantasy and romance books, traveling, cozy nights in with my family, and documenting love stories in beautiful places!
My photography style is a blend of loose editorial + honest storytelling — capturing the raw, emotional moments while gently guiding the rest. With over 110 weddings photographed, I bring both experience + intention to every celebration and session I’m trusted with.
Whether I’m photographing a wedding, maternity session, newborn, family, boudoir, or milestone, my goal is always the same: to make you feel comfortable, celebrated, and fully seen.
I’m an outgoing, extroverted, + loving person who’s here to support you, capture your big moments, + help preserve the little moments in between.

My experience with Maddy was out of this world! She made the experience easy, comfortable, and so much fun. She is the best hype woman any girl could ask for. We had so much fun with Maddy getting our engagement photos. She was so flexible when the weather didn’t cooperate, and made us feel so comfortable! We can’t wait to have her at our wedding!

Maddy was the best! She went above and beyond just taking our family pictures. She was so patient with our 18-month-old and our puppy. She brought props that she thought would look great with our outfits and got to the park early to map out the perfect spots. Our pictures turned out perfect for our Christmas card! We will forever cherish this moment in time of our sweet little family thanks to the beautiful pictures!
